What is Trayd?

US Construction is a $1.4T industry ridden with crappy software and manual processes. Trayd is a construction payroll and back office platform designed for specialty contractors and their workforce. We automate tedious every day tasks, eliminating over 100 hours a month of paper pushing and data reconciliation across siloed platforms. Our application is the all-in-one back-office platform covering payroll, scheduling, HR, accounting, and certifications - a $6+ billion annual opportunity.
Trayd has raised $4.5M from world class investors like Suffolk Technologies, Bloomberg Beta, and Y Combinator. Come join us!

The Role

We are hiring a Vice President of Operations to serve as a senior operator and strategic partner to the CEO. This role owns the systems, teams, and operating cadence that sit between product, revenue, and the customer. You will lead Customer Success and Support, oversee Revenue Operations and People Operations, and build the playbooks that allow Trayd to scale with clarity and control.
This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who has operated at scale, built teams and processes from scratch, and knows how to balance urgency with rigor. You will manage managers, set standards, and bring structure to ambiguity.

What You’ll Work On

Operating Rhythm & Playbooks

  • Build, document, and continuously refine operational playbooks across CS, Support, RevOps, and People Ops.
  • Establish clear processes for onboarding, renewals, escalations, forecasting, hiring, and performance management.
  • Create executive‑level visibility through dashboards, reporting, and operating reviews.

Team Leadership & Management

  • Manage and develop a growing team of managers and operators across multiple functions.
  • Set clear expectations, goals, and accountability frameworks for leaders and teams.
  • Hire, coach, and performance‑manage talent; make thoughtful decisions on org design, promotions, and exits.

Revenue Operations Ownership

  • Work closely with CEO to build out revenue operations including pipeline hygiene, forecasting, bookings, renewals, and expansion tracking.
  • Partner with Sales leadership and CS leadership to ensure clean handoffs, accurate reporting, and scalable GTM processes.
  • Own forecasting accuracy and provide the CEO with a reliable view of revenue performance across the business.

People Operations & Financial Discipline

  • Oversee People Operations including hiring plans, headcount management, performance cycles, and compliance.
  • Own operational inputs into runway, burn, and cash forecasting in partnership with the CEO.
  • Translate company strategy into headcount plans and operating budgets.

New Lines of Business & Strategic Initiatives

  • Identify opportunities for new products, services, or lines of business.
  • Lead the stand‑up of new initiatives from zero to one: defining scope, building the playbook, staffing, and operationalizing.
  • Act as a general manager for new initiatives until they are ready to scale.

Customer Success & Support Leadership

  • Shift operational workflows away from Engineering and into Revenue org by building strong CS, Support, and Ops processes.
  • Define success metrics (retention, expansion, time‑to‑value, CSAT) and implement systems to track and improve them.
  • Partner closely with Product and Sales to ensure feedback loops from customers inform roadmap and go‑to‑market execution.

What You’ll Need

Experience
  • 8+ years of experience in operations, strategy, or general management roles at high‑growth technology companies.
  • Prior experience managing ICs and building multi‑function teams.
  • Proven track record of building operational playbooks and scaling processes in ambiguous environments.
  • Strong financial and operational acumen: comfortable owning forecasts, burn, runway, and headcount planning.
  • Customer‑obsessed mindset with experience leading Customer Success or Support organizations.
  • Ability to operate both strategically and tactically — you can set the vision and also roll up your sleeves.
  • Clear, confident communicator who can partner closely with executive leadership.

Skills & Qualities

  • You’re eager to learn, driven, and a self-starter
  • You’re organized, detail-oriented, and a strong communicator
  • You love solving problems and making processes better
  • Bonus Points >> You’ve worked in an early-stage startup environment

Why Trayd

  • Direct partnership with the CEO and executive team.
  • Opportunity to define how operations work at a category‑defining construction technology company.
  • High ownership, real impact, and the chance to build systems that will last for years.
  • Competitive compensation, meaningful equity, and room to grow as the company scales.
  • Benefits include:
    • Unlimited PTO
    • Health, dental, and vision insurance
    • 401(k)

Compensation

The base pay range for this role is $150,000 – $180,000 per year.
