About Kojo

It's time to build. Whether it's creating more housing, upgrading our infrastructure, or adapting to climate change, one thing is clear: the construction industry is at the center of solving our biggest problems. We’re making buildings cheaper and easier to build by transforming the way commercial construction companies buy their materials. Join us.

Founded in 2018, Kojo is now one of the fastest-growing construction technology companies in the world. Construction accounts for $10 trillion in global spend annually and we can’t live without its output - our roads, schools, hospitals, and offices. Despite this, there’s been very little innovation over the past 70 years in how materials - which constitute up to 40% of project costs - are bought and sold. This is our opportunity.

We are looking for a Product Director to lead Kojo AP, Kojo’s product for AP automation and bill pay. The construction industry has an average 51 Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), the highest of any industry while 11% of invoices have errors. This is an exciting opportunity for impact.

About the Role

Reporting to our Chief Operating Office and Head of Product, this is a unique opportunity to expand Kojo’s product ecosystem. You will have the opportunity to drive forward Kojo AP, growing its revenue, while expanding the use and monetization of payments on Kojo.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the vision for Kojo AP, distilling it into quarterly goals

  • Developing sprint plans that allow the crew to achieve its goals

  • Shaping the strategy and leading the partner selection for payments and financing within Kojo

  • Researching industry trends and having a picture of the competitive landscape

  • Leading customer research and prioritization exercises

  • Collaborating with go-to-market teams on GTM processes and adoption

This will all require a cross-functional approach where you’ll have the opportunity to influence your design and engineering teammates, as well as colleagues, stakeholders, and key executives.

About You

You’ll be a great fit if you’re excited about driving our product and business forward to have real impact in the world. Other skills and abilities that would ensure success in the role:

  • 7+ years of experience working directly as a product manager of technology-powered products

  • Direct experience building Fintech and SaaS products, along with familiarity with AP automation and bill pay products

  • Master’s degree or equivalent practical experience

  • Demonstrated understanding of product discovery and delivery

  • Fast learner with the desire to learn multiple functional areas of business

  • Ability to figure out solutions to hard problems using sound judgment to assess risk

  • Success communicate your ideas in a well-structured, data-informed way

  • Experience collaborating with engineers, designers, and company leaders
