We’re hiring a Vacuum Truck Driver at our facility in Hubbard, TX, and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, and help us build the future. The Vacuum Truck Driver will safely and efficiently operate a vacuum truck while servicing portable restrooms and restroom trailers at customer locations, ensuring exceptional service, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with overtime pay after 40 hours worked. (This role is subject to on-call scheduling with additional compensation provided.)

Primary Responsibilities

We don’t just service portable restrooms—we provide dependable solutions that keep construction sites, special events, and industrial projects running smoothly. At EquipmentShare, our technology ensures our drivers work efficiently by providing real-time access to routes, work orders, customer locations, and service history.

  • Safely operate a vacuum truck in accordance with all applicable state and federal transportation laws and company safety policies.
  • Service portable restrooms and restroom trailers by pumping waste tanks, replenishing fresh water, restocking supplies, and cleaning units to company standards.
  • Perform scheduled route service and respond to emergency service requests as needed.
  • Inspect portable restrooms and restroom trailers for damage or maintenance concerns and report issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate electronic work orders, service records, and customer documentation using company technology.
  • Provide professional, courteous customer service while representing EquipmentShare at customer job sites.
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete required DOT documentation.
  • Monitor fluid levels and perform routine preventive maintenance checks on the vacuum truck; report mechanical issues immediately.
  • Follow all environmental, safety, and waste disposal regulations when transporting and disposing of waste.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional truck and work environment.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally and courteously with customers at construction sites, industrial facilities, and event locations.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently while managing a daily service route.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness, safety, and quality service.
  • Ability to remain focused in a fast-paced environment.
  • Drivers may be required to be clean shaven to enter customer job sites requiring respiratory protection.

Education and Experience

  • Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or other license as required by state law for the vehicle being operated.
  • Previous experience operating vacuum trucks, septic service trucks, portable restroom service vehicles, wastewater equipment, or similar equipment is preferred but not required.
  • Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state Department of Transportation regulations.
  • Must pass a DOT physical, as trucks operated exceed 10,000 pounds GVWR.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to climb on and off trucks repeatedly throughout the workday.
  • Frequently lift, carry, pull, and move hoses, equipment, and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting while operating a commercial vehicle.
  • Must be able to bend, kneel, squat, twist, and stand for extended periods throughout the day.
