We’re hiring a Low Voltage Technician Assistant at our Corporate Headquarters in Columbia, MO, and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, and help us build the future of construction. This position requires frequent travel (80%+) and overtime.

The Field Technician Assistant is responsible for aiding the IT Network and Low Voltage Installation team. This position will include rip and replace projects, low voltage installation, camera installation, This role supports Equipment Share’s initiative to move network and camera installations in-house, utilizing regional installation teams to execute.

Installers will travel to various job sites to complete low-voltage rough-in, network rack installation, wireless access point deployment, camera installation, ISP coordination, and final

Primary Responsibilities

    • Assist in Network installation. This includes installing racks, switches, bridges, and access points
    • Run low voltage cabling and pull old low voltage cabling
    • Aid the Low Voltage Team in the on prem installation process
    • Site scans
    • Assist Networking team with inventory and configuration
    • Site clean-up upon completion

Skills & Qualifications

  • Must be able to provide support to users with a professional, patient and polite attitude
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve on a regular basis
  • Must be comfortable working independently
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to take direction from the Low Voltage Field Technician Team
  • Willing to learn in a quick pace environment

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Education required.

Physical Requirements:

      • Travel requirements will be at minimum 80% with weekend travel and overnight stays, required. Overtime will also be required.
      • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout job sites for extended periods
      • Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and crawl in tight spaces
      • Ability to work in unfinished construction environments
      • Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds regularly
