We’re hiring a Director of AR, Collections, Liens, Waivers & Notices for our Corporate HQ in Columbia, MO and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, and help us build the future of construction. In this position you will provide leadership and direction for all activities within accounts receivable processing, administration, and personnel, including but not limited to specialized billing/invoicing, collections and liens/waivers/notices.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Identify optimization opportunities in specialized billing/invoicing, and collections processes then work with stakeholders to help create a roadmap to implement improvements while maximizing efficiencies
  • Implement effective and efficient collection strategies, processes and workflows to support overall financial goals
  • Continually review customer payment patterns to ensure that account balances are current and payment trends are in line with company standards
  • Implement a solid process and management around the execution of Liens, Waivers & Notices while working with all stakeholders to ensure an efficient and responsive process.
  • Develop management reporting for daily, weekly, monthly tracking of accounts receivable performance.
  • Provide forecasting for collections as an input for cash flow, providing guidance to the team for goal attainment, and feedback to management relating to accounts receivable status.
  • Develop and drive best practices in operations and processes ensuring consistency with company requirements, internal and external controls and audit requirements.
  • Responsible for execution of overall talent recruitment and development strategies for Accounts Receivable Collections teams, including recruitment, hiring, training, employee development and performance management
  • Plan, organize, lead and control the activities of the group, including projects, schedules, priorities, and personnel
  • Develop an array of comprehensive KPI’s and metrics that are shared with the internal team, external teams and an executive version
  • Explore best in class tools and technologies that will build long term efficiencies, improve results and create scalability for the future.

Skills & Qualifications

  • At least 10 years accounting/finance experience within the construction rental industry, or related fields and prior supervisory experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or other related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to strategize on the team’s future and execute.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Familiarity with change management and the ability to lead through changes.

  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to use a computer
