We’re hiring a Purchasing Coordinator - Construction at our office in Chattanooga, TN and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, and help us build the future of construction. The Purchasing Coordinator - Construction responsibilities include issuing purchase orders and managing the tracking of issued purchase orders and change orders as well as oversight of invoice processing. In addition, this role will manage the transfer and organization of existing purchase order data to appropriate locations and Construction Project Manager’s. This role will be in office work with the option to occasionally work from home.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support and at times coordinate and management of construction project purchase orders
  • Research historical payments and purchase orders to as needed
  • Work alongside the construction team and accounts payable to issue purchase orders and timely payments on invoices
  • Complete any tasks assigned by the Purchasing Manager in an efficient and timely manner
  • Work directly with Purchasing Manager to help implement project goals
  • Manage the transfer of data and information to new systems, as needed
  • Serve as the decision maker in the event the Purchasing Manager is unable to

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Ability and desire to work independently and collaboratively to ensure a smooth transition of new systems and platforms
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Basic experience with Google sheets
  • Sage Intacct experience preferred, not required

Education and Experience

  • At least 3 years of purchase order and or procurement experience

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
