EquipmentShare is seeking an Accounts Receivable, Credit & Collections Support Specialist to be responsible for providing support to the Director and direct reports.This experienced, vibrant and engaging team member will be an important member of the team by providing: support in the areas of project management, purchase order and vendor payment processing, team building activities, month-end close procedures, customer rebate management, and assistance with any acquisition-related tasks. The role involves assisting in various financial and administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations and compliance with company policies and procedures. This position can be located in Columbia, MO or remotely.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Director of AR, Credit and Collections.
  • Assist in department and corporate project support initiatives and communicate with key stakeholders during intake meetings.
  • Help to build and maintain the AR/Credit acquisition process.
  • Help to liaise the credit, collections, and AR teams during the acquisition process.
  • Conduct department budget reviews and assist in financial planning.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding acquisition projects and only allow information flow to those who have signed appropriate NDA documentation.
  • Maintain relationships with corporate acquisitions teams and other essential teams during the acquisitions process.
  • Manage customer rebates and related documentation. Organize and manage department employees' work anniversaries and birthdays to boost morale and team spirit.
  • Assist in the planning and coordination of department meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and minute-taking.
  • Support the department during month-end and quarter-close activities, providing administrative and accounting assistance as needed.
  • Assist fellow team members and department managers with issues, as needed.
  • Assist with external audits, including responding to inquiries.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills to ensure efficient and effective department operations.
  • Process purchase orders for department vendors and ensure timely payments.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Past experience with implementing process and change management.
  • The ability to research and learn several different AR/Credit positions as needed to be the go-to person during acquisitions.
  • Strong organizational skills are required.
  • Ability to shift priorities frequently and manage the day’s top priority first.
  • Must be willing to learn and implement organizational processes with spreadsheets and project management software.
  • Extensive customer service and project management skills required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education or experience required.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Accounting experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:
● Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
● Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds.
