About Certivo

Certivo is an AI-native compliance platform for regulated supply chains. Manufacturers face a growing wall of regulatory requirements across materials, trade, cybersecurity, and sustainability, and the way most companies handle it has not changed in twenty years: spreadsheets, email chases, and a scramble when an auditor or a customer asks for proof.
Our AI engine, CORA, automates the work underneath. It collects evidence from suppliers, validates documents against regulatory frameworks across ten compliance categories, and generates audit-ready packages on demand. We are backed by Suffolk Technologies, Pioneer Square Labs, Mayfield, and Ralliant, and we work with global manufacturers across aerospace and defense, automotive, industrial equipment, electronics, and medical devices.

The Role

Compliance software usually gets built one regulation at a time. A customer needs REACH, so someone builds a REACH module. Then RoHS arrives, then CBAM, then a customer contract with its own clauses, and five years later the product is thirty hardcoded workflows that nobody can extend.
We took a different approach. Our Regulation Builder ingests any requirement type, whether regulatory, contractual, or customer-specific, and runs it through the same evidence workflow. That design is the reason we can cover ten compliance categories instead of one, and it is the thing we have to keep getting right as the surface area grows.
This role owns that core. You decide what the platform does next, you write the specifications engineering builds against, and you make the calls about which capability graduates from a custom build for one customer into something every customer gets.
You will work alongside a Product and Design lead who owns the experience layer, forward deployed engineers who sit inside customer deployments, and compliance engineers who own the regulatory logic. Your job is the connective tissue: deciding what gets built, in what order, and why now.

What You Will Do

Own the platform roadmap
Set and maintain the roadmap for the core platform, including the Regulation Builder, evidence collection, document validation, and reporting
Make the prioritization calls across competing pulls from customers, partners, compliance, and engineering, and be able to defend them
Partner with engineering on sequencing, scope, and the tradeoff between shipping narrow and shipping complete
Write specifications engineering can build from
Translate a compliance requirement or a customer need into a specification with clear behavior, edge cases, and acceptance criteria
Work with compliance engineers to understand what a framework actually demands before deciding how the product should handle it
Define what good looks like when the answer is probabilistic, including where the system should escalate to a human rather than guess
Decide what becomes product
Review the custom work forward deployed engineers do inside customer accounts and decide what generalizes
Resist building the one-off twice. When a pattern appears across customers, turn it into platform capability
Say no to the things that would make the product worse, and be able to explain the reasoning to the person who asked
Stay close to customers and the market
Join customer conversations, onboarding sessions, and technical evaluations to see the product used rather than described
Track what competitors ship and what customers ask for that we do not yet do
Bring evidence into roadmap conversations, including the things customers struggle with quietly rather than the things they raise in a QBR
Support the business
Work with marketing on positioning and launch for what you ship
Give sales honest answers about what the product does today and what is still roadmap
Help partner teams understand how the platform fits into their delivery model

What You Bring

Required
5+ years in product management, with at least two shipping B2B software to business buyers rather than consumers
Experience with a technically deep product where understanding the domain was part of the job, whether that was compliance, fintech, healthcare, logistics, security, or similar
Demonstrated ability to write specifications precise enough that engineers do not have to guess, and judgment about which decisions belong in the spec versus the build
Comfort with ambiguity and with being the person who decides. Much of this work starts with an unclear problem and several people who disagree about it
Strong written communication. Most of your influence here travels through documents
Helpful
Background in regulatory compliance, supply chain, or manufacturing, or genuine appetite to learn a dense domain quickly
Experience with AI or machine learning products, particularly evaluating accuracy and designing for the cases where the model is unsure
Familiarity with PLM, ERP, or other enterprise systems of record, and how data actually moves between them
Experience at a company small enough that you did your own research, wrote your own specs, and chased your own answers
Technical enough to read an API contract and reason about a data model without needing it translated

What Success Looks Like

First 90 days. You understand the platform and the domain well enough to hold an opinion. You own the roadmap for at least one area and have shipped something.
First 6 months. Engineering builds against your specifications without a translation layer. The roadmap reflects a coherent view of where the platform is going rather than a queue of requests.
First 12 months. Capability that started as custom work for one customer is running for everyone. When someone asks why we built a thing, your reasoning is the answer.

Why This Role

Most product management at this stage is roadmap administration. This is not that. The platform architecture is the strategy here, and the decisions you make about what the Regulation Builder should handle are the decisions that determine how far the company can extend.
You will also be close to the actual problem. Our customers are quality directors and compliance managers at manufacturers who are personally accountable when an audit goes badly. You will talk to them, and what you learn will show up in the product within weeks.

Compensation and Benefits

Competitive salary
Flexible PTO
Fully remote, with occasional travel to Seattle and to customer sites
